Genoa-Kingston School District 424 announces Mr. Alapati Uili, to succeed Mrs. Stefanie Hill as the Genoa Elementary School Principal. Mr. Uili has been the Genoa-Kingston Middle School assistant principal for 7 years, before moving into an administration role, he was an eighth grade math teacher for 14 years. He earned his undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University and his master’s degree from Aurora University.

Mrs. Hill will retire at the end of the 2024-2025 school year after serving 27 years at Genoa-Kingston. She started her career as a technology teacher, held multiple positions within the district and later became an elementary school principal. He will start his role as principal of GES on July 1, 2025. 

“I am honored and excited for this opportunity to continue working in the district that has shaped who I am as an educator for the last two decades,” said Mr. Uili. “ I feel fortunate to work with the same great students, staff, and families of Genoa-Kingston in this new capacity. Together, we will continue to make a positive impact in our community.”
