Week of October 31, 2022
Literacy
In ReadyGen we are focusing on characters, setting, and retelling events. Students are also learning the difference between fiction and non-fiction reading material and understanding unknown vocabulary words.
Phonics
This week we will review and apply the sounds we have covered so far this quarter. This week we will practice reading and spelling with these sounds:

Tricky Words of the Week
Continue to practice reading, writing, and spelling the first 50 fry words this week. The words listed below are the words we have covered so far this year.

Math
We will finish math topic 3(adding within 20) and we will begin math topic 4(subtraction facts to 20) Our focus facts this week are -2 and -3.

Student school hours are 8:00-2:50 each day.
Please send two snacks to school with your student each day.
Please send your child to school with a spill proof water bottle each day.
Our classrooms can be cool. Please send a sweatshirt with your student.
Temps are getting cooler please send gloves, hants and a warm jacket for outdoor play.
Please continue to check Seesaw throughout the week for messages.
If your child is sick or there is a change of transportation, you must call the office.
Please have your student return the attached homework by next Monday
