Literacy
In ReadyGen we continue to focus on friendship in shared reading. We are focusing on characters, setting, and retelling events in the beginning, middle and end of a story.
Phonics
This week we will review and apply the sounds we have covered so far this quarter. This week we will practice reading and spelling with these sounds:
Focus: reading and writing with short vowels and -ck
Review: v, y, z, zz, qu, u, r, w, j, k, e
m, s, t, c/k, p, n, a, f, b, g, short i, d,l,ll,h, o
Tricky Words of the Week
Each quarter we will focus on 25 fry words. Students will practice reading and writing these words. Mastering these words helps students become more fluent in their reading and writing.
This week we will review the words we have covered so far. Students will be tested on reading these words next week. If your student has mastered reading the words they should practice spelling the words correctly.
Math
We will continue with topic 2: addition and subtraction facts to 10. Our focus math fact this week is +4/+5.

Literatura
En ReadyGen seguimos enfocándonos en la amistad en la lectura compartida. Nos centramos en los personajes, el escenario y volver a contar los eventos al principio, la mitad y el final de una historia.
Fónica
Esta semana revisaremos y aplicaremos los sonidos que hemos cubierto hasta ahora este trimestre. Esta semana practicaremos lectura y ortografía con estos sonidos:
Enfoque: leer y escribir con vocales cortas y -ck
Reseña: v, y, z, zz, qu, u, r, w, j, k, e
m, s, t, c/k, p, n, a, f, b, g, i corta, d,l,ll,h, o
Palabras difíciles de la semana
Cada trimestre nos centraremos en 25 palabras de alevines. Los estudiantes practicarán la lectura y la escritura de estas palabras. Dominar estas palabras ayuda a los estudiantes a tener más fluidez en su lectura y escritura.
Esta semana repasaremos las palabras que hemos cubierto hasta ahora. Los estudiantes serán evaluados sobre la lectura de estas palabras la próxima semana. Si su estudiante domina la lectura de las palabras, debe practicar su ortografía correctamente.
Matemáticas
Continuaremos con el tema 2: operaciones de suma y resta hasta 10. Nuestra operación matemática de enfoque esta semana es +4/+5.
