Turquoise                       

         Turquoise comes is many different colors from different places. The Blue Turquoise can be found in Iran and Egypt. The greenish blue can be found in India, and it is also found in China!!! We get most of our Turquoise from the US in the southwestern part of America in the area of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and in parts of California, Nevada, and Arizona.

         You see that Native Americans have been molding it for 1,000s of years. They use this for jewelry and in special occasions. When you get a more of a blue turquoise it has more copper in it. If its green it has more aluminum. And if it is a yellowish green, which is hard to find, it has more zinc. Word of advice do not scratch. It is delicate for a stone and remember to polish it.
