The Yo-Yo was invented in Greece in the year 500 B.C. The Yo-Yo is an axle with a string wrapped around it. The Yo-Yo was first made with metal, wood, or painted terra cotta disks. Instead of calling it a Yo-Yo it was just called a disk. The Yo-Yo was the second toy invented in the whole world. The first toy was the doll. When the Yo-Yo was invented it became a religious toy. It was a tradition that when a child turned a certain age they would give a toy of theirs, to one of the gods.
