It was named after a small river named DuPage. It flows through the county. The name came from a French trapper and trader of that region. The County courthouses is in Wheaton.

DuPage County has lots of interests and museums, but has no State Parks.

Some of the main cities are Naperville, Villa Park, Addison, West Chicago, Oakbrook, Downers Grove and many others.

Part of the Fermi Lab is in DuPage County. Argonne National lab is in DuPage County also.
