Livingston was named after a New York mayor named  Edward Livingston. He was a representative and senator of Louisiana and a lawyer and a statesman. He graduated from Princeton University  1781.  He practiced law in New York City. His brother's name is Robert R Livingston . The county court house was established in February 27,1837. It is in 112 west Madison  street. in Pontiac Illinois. Couldn't find park & historical sites
