About the Project

The 8th graders at Genoa-Kingston Middle School in Genoa, Illinois did this project in Computer Class, April 2006. Students selected 2 counties and were to show where the county is located on an Illinois map. They used the internet to research who the county was named for, the county seat, names of some of the other towns in the county, and interesting facts (e.g. state parks). Sources of information are listed on the sources page.

Six of our students did an additional county so that all 102 would be represented. Thank you DC, MN, and SS in the morning section, and VG, PP, and KW in the afternoon class. Also thanks to MA and MP in the afternoon class for assistance with web design decisions.
