A Sloth’s migration |
|
Sloths migrate for several weeks. Sloths live from the tropics of South America to the central part from the southern part . They only migrate one to two miles away from their home land. Sloths migrate in packs of three, and most are capable of traveling alone. During the migration period they collect an abundance of food such as indigenous bugs, fruit, and plants. Also during the migration period they loose some of the sedentary algae, that dwells on their furry coats. Some sloths that migrate with the rest of the sloths settle in the area of the migration as their new homes. Sloths find their mate and have babies during the migration period as well. An interesting fact is that they mate and give birth in trees! |
