Academic Bowl

Academic Bowl is an academic competition team that competes with other high schools in the state as an IHSA sponsored activity. Membership on the team provides the opportunity for students to compete with students from other schools in a display to quickly recall information.

The Academic Bowl students compete in contests which cover a variety of subjects. The students are asked toss up and bonus questions about these subjects: *Spelling

*Math (calculus, trigonometry, geometry, Algebra, General Math)

*Chemistry

*Physics

*Fine Arts

*British Literature

*World Literature

*American Literature

*Current events

*Sports

*Social Studies (U.S. History, World History)

*Mythology

The sponsor of the Academic Bowl is Mr. Oestreicher. If you would like to join the Academic Bowl, contact Mr. Oestreicher during AE or after school.
