Nick Atkinson Graduated from G-K in 2007. He left for basic training on Aug. 13, 2007, and graduated basic training Nov. 7, 2007. Nick is leaving Nov. 27 to San Fiego, California for 3 weeks of combat training. After that, he is going to Pensicola, Florida for 8 months for aircraft mechanic training. |

E-2 Jesse Hall Jesse Hall in 2007 went to basic training at Ft. Benning Georgia in May 21, continued to Advanced individual training at Ft. Sill Oklahoma where he graduated first in his class. Genoa-Kingston High School student, Emily Woodard, has been enlisted in the U. S. Army since July, 2005. She did her initial entry training at Ft. Jackson, SC she graduated from training in November 2005. She then did one year tour in Korea, she worked seven months in Seoul, five months in Daegu. She came home from overseas in December 2006, and is now stationed in Fort Gordon, Georgia with the Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center. Genoa-Kingston High School graduate, William joined the United States Army. He has recently been living back in Illinois drilling once a month with his National Guard Unit.He is a part of B/Co 1/178 air assault infantry out of Elgin Illinois. He recently came back from a training mission in poland in September. His unit is scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan in November of 2008. Genoa-Kingston High School graduate, Brian, joined the Illinois National Guard Army Reserves on April 29, 2003. To date he has enjoyed being in the army. He graduated from Genoa-Kingston in May of 2004. Brian is currently stationed at Sycamore Armary and trained in Field Artillery. I returned from Iraq on the 4th of May. I have been promoted to Specialist rank and received awards such as the Army Achievement meday, The Iraqis Campaign medal, and Global War on Terrorism medals. I have successfully completed half of my 6 year contract. Now I go to drills one weekend a month, and in the summer two weeks a year for the next three years. When I'm done, I will be going back to Kishwaukee College and back to my civilian job. When he first joined the army it was only voluntary to go to Iraq but now it has become mandatory. He is ranked as a PFC (Private First Class). Brian currently lives with his parents and brother (who is a freshman at GKHS). More information will be posted as we are informed.

Genoa-Kingston High School student, Nathanial, joined the Military. He attended G-K in the years of 03-04 and 04-05. He is 17 years old. He has his Basic Training from Ft. Leonardwood, Missouri. His Advanced Individual Training took place at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona. His unit is Delta Company in the 305th Military Intelligence Battalion. Nathanial's Military Occupational Selection was 96B and he is an All-Source Intelligence Analyst. Nathanial leaves for his next station, Ft. Drum, New York, on September 13, 2006. Genoa-Kingston High School graduate, Brent, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. December 28, 2004. He graduated from Genoa-Kingston in May of 2005. Brent was in Paris Island, South Carolina for 70 training days, about three months. He graduated on March 24, 2006 with the 2nd Bn. Gulf Co. He's now stationed in Camp LeJeune, North Carolina with the Eighth Marine Regiment Headquarters Company, Communication Platoon. His email is windex2005@yahoo.com.
