Community Service Opportunity
Please come and help stuff envelopes to kick off the Genoa-Kingston United Way Campaign on Tuesday the 30th at 4:30 in the Learning Center. If you have practice come afterwards. For more information, please contact Christi Volkening in the guidance office.

November 4th - you will need to bring your driver's license or Illinois state I.D. and you need to know the last four digits of your social security number. See Mrs. Factor by Oct. 7th.

The scholarship application for the A. Franklin Pilchard Foundation is in the guidance office. If you are interested please pick one up.The deadline for this scholarship application is 11/17/08.
Poetry publication meeting in Learning Center
during AE every last B day of the week. Come to review submitted poems, to submit poetry, discuss yours and other's poetry, and get advice on writing poems. If you have questions see Nathan Dulceak or Molly Steele.
Peer Tutoring: Math, English, Science , Social Studies
Tutoring in the Learning Center beginning Monday September 22nd: Math & English on Mondays and Tuesdays. Science and Social Studies on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Students must obtain a pass from their AE teacher and return the pass signed and dated with time back to their AE teacher before the end of the day. Students will also be signed in and out by the tutoring staff every day in our log book.
Spanish Tutoring
Spanish Tutoring will be available on B Days beginning Tuesday, September 23rd in Miss Graves Room (Room 406) Students must obtain a pass from their AE teacher and return the pass signed and dated with the time back to their AE teacher before the end of the day. Students will also be signed in and out by the tutoring staff every day.
Chemistry Tutoring Group
Chemistry Peer Tutoring Group will begin on Tuesday, September 23rd in the Guidance Office Conference Room Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please obtain a pass from your AE Teacher. You must have the pass marked with your arrival time and departure. It is the students responsibility to return this slip to your AE teacher before leaving school. All students will also be signed in and out in chemistry tutoring log book.

Tuesday- Superhero/Villain Day
Wednesday- Class Color Day (Seniors-black, Juniors-white, Sophomores-green, Freshman-red, Staff-blue)
Thursday- 80's Day
Friday- Orange and Blue Day. Pep Assembly and Coronation during A.E. Parade at 3:45.
Saturday- Homecoming Dance at the High School 8-11pm. Cost is $10 per person. Tickets will be on sale during lunches Sept. 25th- Oct. 3rd. If bringing a guest who is not a G-K student, you must get a form from Ms. Traub or the main office and have it signed and returned by Oct. 3rd
